We are excited to announce the next stage of programs and services coming back online at Gungahlin Leisure Centre.
As of Monday 3rd August, Aquatic Memberships will be reactivated and the below will be available to patrons:
- Program pool
- Toddler pool
- (Unfortunately, due to ongoing maintenance work the 50m pool will remain closed.)
We are also delighted to announce the recommencement of our Learn to Swim program from Monday 17th August 2020!
To comply with COVID Safe practices, all members are required to sign in using their Membership card and adhere to all in centre special and standard Conditions of Entry. No booking is required for members to attend the pool.
Due to ongoing social distancing requirements, capacity in the Program Pool will be limited. To manage these capacities, an online booking system will be available. Online bookings and payments are essential for all casual users only.
Should an adult (anyone over the age of 18 who is not registered as a participant in a class) be required to come into the facility (e.g. parent or guardian), you will be required to register your name and details via a smart phone and QR Code. Please ensure you bring with you an appropriate device to register your details upon entry.
We kindly ask that patrons follow the centre signage and staff direction during their visit.
For Aquatic Direct Debit Memberships, billing will recommence on Friday 31st July.
If you are not ready to return to the Centre, please notify us by clicking here to request a further Membership suspension no later than 5pm, 28th July 2020.
For Swimming Lesson Direct Debit Enrolments, billing will recommence from Friday 14th August.
If you are not quite ready to return to swimming lessons, please notify us by clicking here to request an extension on your enrolment suspension (Terms and Conditions apply). Please ensure you do this no later than 5pm, Friday 7 August 2020.
COVID Safe Measures
The Y NSW team have been working hard to ensure the Centre is COVID-Safe. You will see a few changes to our centre, processes and programs to enable us to meet all Government requirements. We ask that everyone work with us to ensure we all remain safe and have a great time back in the pool.
For Learn to Swim Families, please make sure you read through our Rebooting Learn to Swim Handbook and discuss all of these changes with your children prior to returning. This will make sure all of our Learn to Swim classes start back well-prepared for a great return.
Please view our COVIDSafe Video for a sneak peek at what you can expect on site. We encourage all members to be prepared for all of the changes that we will need to implement for a safe return for us all.
Please ensure you do not attend the centre if you or your child are feeling unwell, have a cough, cold sore throat or a temperature.
Once again, we thank our incredible communities for your understanding and patience during these challenging times.
