Seniors Festival is aimed at engaging with local seniors and encouraging them to'LOVE LATER LIFE'. The festival runs from 23-29 March and aims to give local seniors the chance to make new friends or get together with old ones at an array of local community events.

As we get older, our options to exercise shouldn’t be fewer. That’s why we offer tailored exercise programs for people over 55. Improve your heart health, bone density, flexibility and strength.

Senior’s exercise is about staying fit, healthy and socially connected. Turn up for a workout. Stay for a coffee and a chat. That’s what we call active ageing.

Gungahlin Leisure Centre (Proudly Managed by the Y) will be running a special seniors seminar + morning tea to encourage local seniors to come into the centre, learn more about the benefits of fitness and healthy living and to network with other seniors. The centre will also be offering special discounts and offers to seniors who wish to join the Y and be more active. 

•    Membership offer – New Pryme/Pension members who join in seniors week receive no joining fee + no pro rata
•    Current Pryme/Pension members who refer someone who joins on a Fitness membership in seniors week receive 2 weeks credit on their account
•    Seminar Monday March 23rd at 11:45am. Seminar topic - Healthy Ageing toolkit presented by Blake Gregor (qualified Exercise Physiologist) This will include morning tea & coffee afterwards
•    We also have 2 extra Pryme classes that will be running in centre. Thursday 11:30am Pryme Strength & Monday 11:30am Pryme Movers
