We’re excited to introduce Reformer Pilates to Gungahlin Leisure Centre, starting Monday, 1st September!

Reformer Pilates is a dynamic, low-impact workout designed to build strength, improve flexibility, and enhance overall wellbeing. Our classes are delivered virtually and run for up to 45 minutes, making it easy to fit into your weekly routine.

Bookings

All customers must book a 45 mins timeslot to access Reformer Pilates.

  • Bookings available via ActiveWorld (coming soon)

  • Capacity: 2 people per session – early bookings recommended

Pricing

Joining Fee (new members only): $69

Standard: $40 / pw

Concession: $35.60 / pw

Pensioner: $32 / pw

How Can I Access Reformer Pilates?

At Gungahlin Leisure Centre, Reformer Pilates classes are offered to members who hold the Premium membership. If you're already a premium member, you can book lessons via our active world app, otherwise if you are interested in becoming a premium member to access Reformer Pilates, sign up now! 

How can I Book Reformer Pilates Classes?

To book our classes, simply book via the Active World app. Once you have signed up for a Premium Membership, you will be sent a link to our booking app. Simply download the app, create your password, and begin you Reformer Journey.

Reformer Pilates encompasses many benefits that improve not only your physical fitness, but also your mental wellbeing. Here are some of the most pivotal reasons why Reformer Pilates is beneficial to everyone:

    The broad functionality of the reformer machine enables a workout that can target specific, individualized movements, which stimulates you for a full body workout. The subtlety of the springs in the reformer also strengthens your entire body, making it a well rounded workout for all exercisers. 

  2. Builds strength and tones muscle 

    This energizing form of exercise manipulates the use of the machine’s springs and levers to enforce resistance and promotes equal focus on the concentric and eccentric contractions to create long, lean and toned muscles.     If you have recently suffered from an injury, professionally aided Reformer Pilates classes are an ideal way to accelerate your recovery. The ingenius design of the reformer machine caters to horizontal plane exercise rather than weight bearing, which reduces the load on your body. The gentle impact, and repetitive movements which occur tones your muscle and speeds up the recovery process.

    Reformer Pilates target the core of your body, while simultaneously working the peripheral postural muscles. Exercising the core region of your body is key to improving posture.

Book your Reformer Pilates Session via Active World

Are you looking to book for your reformer pilates session via your membership app Active World? Follow the steps below:

1. After downloading the Active World App and creating an account, login with your user details.

2. Select "Book Group Fitness" from your Home Page and Select "Reformer Pilates" under the Program list.

3. Find your desired pilates session in listed options and click "Book".

4. Select yourself or a member to book the class

5. Confirm your payment details, read the Terms and Conditions, and select Confirm Booking.

You will now be able to view your booked class in My Schedule, from where you can view class details or notify your absence. Now you’re ready to get active with us!
